Annual Reports

Annual Report

Boards of trustees are required to prepare an annual report each year which include the board’s annual financial statements and auditor’s report.  It must also contain a discussion of progress the school has made towards the planned goals and targets for student achievement set out in the annually updated section of its charter (the analysis of variance).  This report must be provided to the Ministry of Education by 31 May each year.

Our latest Annual Report can be found here:  St Patrick’s 2019 Annual Report

School Charter

The charter is a key planning document that sets out the school’s objectives and targets for the year and is put in place at the start of the school year.  It is effective in setting teaching and learning programmes and guiding the activities of your school.  The Ministry of Education requires a copy of the updated charter to be submitted annually.

The purpose of a school charter is to establish the mission, aims, objectives, directions and targets of the board that will give effect to the Government’s National Education Guidelines and the Board’s priorities.

Under the National Administration Guidelines (NAG2(a)), a board is required to develop a strategic plan which documents how they are giving effect to the National Education Guidelines through their policies, plans and programmes, including those for curriculum, student achievement, assessment and staff professional development.
